Message from the Athletic Director

We appreciate your loyal support of Valley View Spartans Athletics and thank you for your continued contributions to the success of our athletic programs. The storied tradition of Spartan athletics is one that we are all proud of and we look forward to further success this season. The Valley View Local School District prides itself on the high-quality education our students receive while simultaneously offering numerous opportunities for our student-athletes to excel in their respective sport programs. We encourage students to be involved in interscholastic athletics because we believe that sports is an extension of the classroom where students can learn valuable lessons and life skills that will not only benefit them throughout their entire lives, but also make their high school experience more meaningful by capitalizing on the benefits of teamwork, peer support, personal accountability, and positive socialization.

Valley View is a proud member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and the Southwestern Buckeye League (SWBL). We offer a wide range of athletic opportunities for both boys and girls at the high school and junior high levels. We specifically offer a total of 14 different sports (32 sports teams) at the high school level as well as 6 different sports (13 different teams) at the junior high level. We’d like to recognize our coaches, many of whom either coach multiple sports teams or do so on a volunteer basis. They sacrifice their time and energy to make the athletic experience for our student-athletes enjoyable and meaningful.

The athletic department would first like to thank our parents for your unwavering support of our student athletes. So much of what we are able to accomplish on our field or courts is due to your willingness to serve behind the scenes. We are especially grateful for our partnership with the Valley View Athletic Boosters for their ongoing support of our athletic programs. The positive relationships we have with the parents, Athletic Boosters, and the larger Valley View community truly makes our sports environment one of a kind. We have high standards with regard to sportsmanship and conduct. We not only expect our students and coaches to uphold these values, but also the spectators at our athletic contests. As fans, we encourage positive behavior in the stands towards officials, opposing fans, and each other as we cheer our athletes on to victory.

Thank you for your continued support of Valley View Spartans Athletics. Go Spartans!

Dear Parents and Spartan Fans,

In preparation for the new school year, the Valley View Athletic Booster Club is beginning its membership drive for the 2024-2025 school year. The Athletic Booster Club believes that student involvement in sports, attendance at sporting events, and parents and community involvement help create pride in our school and our community. We are extremely proud of our Spartan athletes and many of our teams experienced great success and growth this past year. The Valley View Athletic Booster Club is not affiliated with the district but supports our athletes and sports programs through community memberships and fundraisers. We need everyone's help to continue our success and support of Valley View Athletics! During the upcoming 2024-2025 school year, the Valley View Athletic Boosters will spend over $105,000 supporting our teams and student athletes. Our primary projects for upcoming seasons are as follows:

• Niswonger Field light replacement project
• Expanded Weight Room project (will double the size of the current facility)
• Junior High Wrestling Room project

With the continuation of our annual Oktoberfest event, our annual golf scramble, and an increased focus on our membership drive, fundraising for the past year was a great success; however, we continually strive to improve and increase our fundraising ability each year. Our ability to do that depends on continuing to add volunteers and grow our Club.

All coaches, parents, and members are welcome to attend our meetings. Future meeting times and locations will be shared through our various social media channels listed to the right, but we typically meet the second Monday of every month in the High School Library at 7:00 PM. Feel free to call one of the Athletic Booster Board Officers for more information or if you have questions. We hope you will consider becoming a Valley View Athletic Booster member. Click the button to the right to complete the membership form.
