The Valley View Board of Education is an elected body created by the Ohio General Assembly. The Board consists of five elected, non-partisan positions. Each member is elected to a four-year term. Members are elected in alternating odd-year elections, with two members elected during one election and three members elected during the other.
Timothy lives in Germantown with his wife Angela. Timothy's two daughters attended Valley View, with his older daughter, Lauren, graduating in 2020 and his younger daughter, Madelyn, graduating in 2022. As a Valley View parent, Timothy has enjoyed watching his daughters participate in marching band, symphonic band, chamber choir, saxophone ensemble, and spring musical (Lauren) as well as cheerleading, cross country, and track (Madelyn).
Timothy is a graduate of Miami University (1999) with a Bachelor of Science in Decision Sciences (magna cum laude) and the University of Dayton School of Law (2002) with a Juris Doctor (cum laude). He also holds a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Luther Rice University and has completed work towards a Master of Divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Timothy works as an attorney at Scott L. Braum & Associates, Ltd. serving a nationwide client base with a focus on litigation and regulatory matters. He is licensed in both Ohio and Indiana and admitted to practice in numerous federal district courts and appellate circuit courts around the country in addition to being admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States (2013). Since 2007, Timothy has also served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Brookville, Ohio with weekly teaching responsibilities, and has led seven leadership training conferences in India during those years.
Stephanie is a pediatric nurse practitioner who began her career at Dayton Children’s Hospital 23 years ago. She is dually certified in both primary and acute care pediatrics and specializes in neurosurgery. Stephanie treats pediatric patients with brain and spine abnormalities and assists the surgeons in the operating room. Stephanie graduated from the University of Cincinnati in April 2022 with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice.
Stephanie moved to German Township 21 years ago when she married her husband Todd, a 5th generation resident of Germantown and German Township. She has two adult daughters who are graduates of Valley View. Stephanie’s grandsons are students attending Valley View Primary and Intermediate Schools.
Stephanie is the immediate past-Regent of the Jonathan Dayton Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and state historian. Stephanie is a previous co-leader of Germantown Girl Scout Troop 1243. Stephanie and her husband are faithful members of the Germantown First Church of God and are also members of the Germantown Historical Society and the Farm Bureau. Stephanie enjoys attending her grandchildren's various sporting events, traveling, fishing, camping, genealogy and watching her beloved New England Patriots.
Born and raised in Germantown, Ohio, and attended Valley View schools from kindergarten through 12th grade. Currently serves as the Senior Director of Development – Annual Giving at Miami University. During my career in higher education, I have served as an athletic administrator, teacher, professor, and development officer. I attended the University of Dayton, where I played Division I softball and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management (2004). Subsequently, I earned a Master’s degree in Educational Policy and Leadership (University of Dayton, 2008) and a Juris Doctorate (University of Dayton, 2012). I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Culture and Curriculum from Miami University (anticipated 2025), where I plan to focus my research on trauma-informed curriculum and restorative justice practices in secondary school settings.
When I am not at work or spending time with my family, I am committed to volunteering my time with various non-profit organizations. Service experiences include: Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused, neglected, and dependent children in Montgomery County, the House of Bread soup kitchen, and Habitat for Humanity. My family and I regularly attend St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Oakwood, Ohio, where I am a member of the Vestry, Lay Eucharistic Minister and assist with leading the Youth Mission Project each summer to help combat hunger and food insecurity in Dayton. I am also a licensed foster/adoptive parent and member of the Germantown Chamber of Commerce.
My wife Malinda and I live in Germantown and have six children, all who attend (or will attend) Valley View: Yoshi, Jay, Alex, John, Adrian and Reese.
Retired after 34 years as a teacher and a coach. Married to my wife Roxane for 30 years. Father of two former Valley View graduates Rob and Tyson. First time board member.
