Message from the Athletic Director

Welcome and thank you for your support of Valley View Spartan athletics! The Valley View Local School District values the important role athletics play in contributing to a top-quality education while enhancing the school districts mission to maximize the potential of our student-athletes.

We believe athletics is a key component of student life as well as an extension of the classroom. Our goal is to have an outstanding well-rounded athletics program known for student-athletes that display excellent sportsmanship while academically achieving and competing to the best of their abilities. Our athletic department is here to serve our student-athletes by building their confidence and maximizing their potential and developing skills of resilience, perseverance, confidence and commitment.

We welcome all students to participate in our interscholastic sports program, and we offer a range of opportunities to get involved at both the junior high and the high school level. Valley View Schools are a proud member of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and fields boys and girls athletic programs at the high school level in 14 different sports (32 different teams) as well as 6 sports at the junior high level. (13 different teams).  Our student-athletes work hard to fulfill their potential in the classroom and on the playing surfaces and have become leaders and role models within our school community and beyond. Our Administrators, Faculty and Staff are committed to maximizing the potential of our student-athletes.

Our Valley View community has high standards in regard to sportsmanship and conduct. We expect our students and coaches to always uphold these standards. I would ask that you, as a spectator, reinforce these standards when you interact with the opposing teams, coaches and contest officials.  The athletic department is grateful to our parents and members of the Valley View Athletic Boosters who provide unrelenting support, energy and enthusiasm for our student-athletes and coaches.

I thank you in advance for supporting the Valley View Spartan athletic programs and the student-athletes we serve.  Please come and be a part of our athletic competitions this year.  I look forward to seeing you there.

Go Spartans!
