VV MVCTC Business Academy students

The Business Professionals of America sponsors conferences and contests in workplace skills, including business and computers topics. Ten of the VV-MVCTC’s Business Academy students, also members of the Business Professionals of America, elected to compete in this year’s regional contests. Students competed in individual contests in Word Processing, Office Procedures and Applications, Fundamental Spreadsheet Applications, Advanced Spreadsheet Applications, Banking and Finance, and Personal Financial Management. Remarkably, all ten of the Valley View BPA students placed at regionals! Awards are given through 6 th place, but Valley View students placed much higher.

Important vaccination information for 6th and 11th grade students

Attention Parents of 6th and 11th graders,

    The Ohio Department of Health is now requiring all incoming 7th graders to have the Tdap and the Meningococcal vaccine prior to 7th grade. They are also requiring all incoming 12th graders to have a 2nd dose of the Meningococcal vaccine prior to 12th grade.

     Please contact your Physician to schedule your child's appointment for this immunization. You may provide an updated immunization record, a note from your physician or a billing receipt that indicates the child has had the vaccine. Please make sure your child's name and DOB are on these documents and submit them to the main office of your child's school building, attention Nurse.

     Note : As required by State Law , Section 3313.671 and Ohio Revised Code 3701.13 a child  may not attend school unless they are up to date with their immunizations. Students who do not meet this requirement prior to the first day of school, will be excluded from school.

**Substitute Teachers needed for District**

Anyone with a four year degree may become a Certified Substitute Teacher. Stop by the Central Office at 59 Peffley St. Germantown to fill out an application and certification. Valley View School District uses the AESOP system for its substitute teachers.
