Miss Basketball has been a tradition at Valley View for 50 years! The history of it is quite interesting! Most schools do not have a Miss Basketball, or winter homecoming! When Germantown and Farmersville consolidated back in the 60’s, Farmersville High School did not have a football team because it was too small. Basketball was its premier sport, so Germantown High School had a fall homecoming, and Farmersville had a winter one. When the schools consolidated, those on the committee from Farmersville asked that their “Miss Basketball” tradition be maintained at the new Valley View, and that is why we still have it to this day.
