VVIS Invention Convention National participants

Braden Keating and Parker Close, Valley View Intermediate students, recently attended the National Invention Convention in Washington D.C.  Unfortunately their project, The Cooling Helmet, did not advance through the competition finals.   One of the leaders of the conference told them the night before the awards ceremony, "Not everyone can be a winner but remember, you all won to get here! You are 256 of the best from all around the country!"  The boys feel they have gained some amazing experiences through this project. The lessons learned go far beyond the classroom.  The boys will compete one more time at the State level on July 30 at the Ohio State Fair.   They will be excited to share their experiences with their fellow students when they return to school in the fall.

In addition to Braden and Parker, Riley Hodson, Peyton Shrout, Tad Renneker, Caleb Caskey, Andrew Albright and Clayton Lail have earned the ability to compete at the state level Invention Convention July 30th at the Ohio State Fair.  Good luck at the state level to these VVIS students!
